echoing silence

the talk about “saving the environment” is becoming more of a fad rather than really caring about the environment and using it’s resources properly to the benefit of the whole human race.

water engine is brilliant idea!
i just don’t know if the “grabbing hands” that rule the world invisibly will allow anything to happen without them getting anything from it.

theorists says the invasion of iraq was due to “oil” domination only. bush and bin laden being the 2 main players in that industry. but what would i know.

people are killing each other because of oil and now a certain filipino engineer will introduce a “water” capital engine?

im not saying its right. definitely would be against it but hey.. this is the real world.

im also pro-sustainable design.. if only….

right now, the talk about “saving the environment” is becoming more of a fad rather than really caring about the environment and using it’s resources properly to the benefit of the whole human race.

such hypocrisy. why?
example.. earth day.

the idea of earth day is to pay tribute to the conservation of energy for at least a single hour. yeah, right, they turned off flourescent lamps for one hour and lit candles instead with some dramatic humming and “spiritual” uplifting ceremonies. nothing wrong with that.

but look clearly now,
after the brief one hour moment of turning off flourescent lamps what did they do?

THEY PARTIED ON TILL DAWN!
imagine the energy consumption wasted from powering up amplifiers for enourmous sound systems, blazing spotlights with a thousand watts each. plus junk food wrappers thrown on the streets by these party goers, thousands of cigarette butts and probably condoms too, who knows.

the benefit that this corporate giants get from celebrations like this has nothing to do with saving humanity… it’s plain old advertising campaign.

they contribute for a one-hour-turning-off-the-lights-show-off because thats the only amount of time they could sacrifice before they get back to powering up their machines which is the life of their business!

i am sorry.. i am tired of these so-called environmentalist pretenders. fad. fad. fad.

going back to sustainable design, i just hope all concerned are breaking their heads on this and to put it to its proper use and not just plain publicity gigs.

and yes, we need to study more about it.

again, sorry about my rants.
i just hate environmentalist pretenders together with animal rights activists who value animal life more rather than humans.

but then again, that’s just me.

mabalos!
biernes_atrece po
objectivist.atheist.pinoy!

PS
from what i gather, sustainable design at this moment in time still costs more than what its suppose to save.
but some bright minds are already exploring things.
